Chapter 5 1) Highlight and make a note in the margins about the physical descriptions of the creature 2) Highlight Victor’s reactions when his creation comes to life. Write reaction in the margin
4) Highlight the passage from Coleridge’s “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” – make a note in the margin about how this applies to Victor Frankenstein. 5) Find and circle 3 words that would make good vocab words and write the definitions in the margin Chapter 6 & 7:

Chapter 3 1) Highlight important lines in the paragraph in which we learn about the illnesses of Elizabeth and Caroline. 2) Make a note of where Victor is going to be going to university 3) Highlight what Caroline Frankenstein says on her deathbed about her hopes for Elizabeth and Victor’s future. 4) Highlight sentences that show how Elizabeth proceeds after Caroline’s death. “She indeed veiled her grief….” Write two adjectives that could describe Elizabeth. 5) Find the quote that begins with “Chance – or rather the evil influence, the Angel of Destruction, which asserted omnipotent sway over me from the moment I turned my reluctant steps from my father’s door….” -Highlight it and make a note in the margin about what it means. 6) Find and circle 2 words that would make good vocab words.
